Lana Huberty, PhD
Dean of the College of Kinesiology
Dr. Lana Huberty is dean of the College of Kinesiology and Associate Professor of Kinesiology and Health Sciences. She joined Concordia St. Paul in 2013, and brought with her a wealth of experience from private and public sport and recreation settings.
Dr. Huberty graduated with a bachelors of science in Recreation, Parks and Leisure Services with a Planning and Management emphasis from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 1992, before going on to pursue her masters degree in Kinesiology, Sport and Recreation Management from St. Cloud State University in 2006. In 2013, she completed her doctorate in Kinesiology with a Sport Management emphasis from the University of Minnesota, before joining Concordia St. Paul the same year.
Dr. Huberty has 25 years of fitness training under her belt, with numerous certifications including NETA, LMI, PHI and YogaFit. Her research interests include gender diversity within sport management, sport leadership, and sport marketing and sponsorship.
