Program Admission Requirements

Step 1: Online application

Step 2: Official College Transcripts

    • Submit official transcripts from your previous regionally accredited institution(s) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 based on a 4.0 system.
    • If you have attended a MNSCU college or university we also ask that you provide an official accompanying DARS or MnTC goal area worksheet. CSP Global accepts completed goal areas.
    • Transfer students with fewer than 20 college credits completed will also need to submit an official high school transcript.

Step 3: Additional Requirements

    • Access to a computer that meets CSP Global’s technology requirements.
    • Students who do not meet initial admissions criteria may be asked to complete the academic success essay and/or provide additional documentation.

    • Submit official transcripts from your previous regionally accredited institution stating the conferral of a bachelor’s degree or higher with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 system or a bachelor’s degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution.

    • Submit official transcripts from an accreditor that is recognized by the US Department of Education stating the conferral of the Master’s degree or higher with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 based on a 4.0 system.
    • *To be considered official, transcripts must be received in a sealed envelope from the institution or through secured electronic delivery.

Step 3: Writing Sample

    • Those seeking admission into the Doctorate in Kinesiology program should submit a Master’s level scholarly work which includes APA in-text citations and references. A sample of work from a previous Master’s program and/or professional doctorate will be acceptable.

Step 4: Letters of Recommendation

    • Students seeking admission to the Doctorate in Kinesiology program should arrange to have two letters of recommendation completed by professionals who can speak to their greatest strengths and successes. It is recommended that these letters speak specifically to the applicant’s work ethic, disposition and academic ability.
    • You will submit your letters of recommendation directly in the application portal.

Step 5: Current Resume & Professional Goal Statement

    • Provide a copy of your resume and a brief statement detailing your motivation for pursuing a doctorate in kinesiology and your persistence toward achieving long-term goals.

Concordia University considers you an international student if:

  • You will need an F-1 student visa to study in the U.S.
  • You will be studying in the U.S. in any other eligible nonimmigrant status (i.e. an H-4 visa).
  • You are not a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or refugee, and if you are on a temporary visa or require a visa to study in the United States. If you are a U.S. citizen living overseas, or with multiple nationalities (i.e. have dual citizenship) and plan on entering the U.S. on your U.S. passport, you are not considered an international applicant.
